Field trip first aid

The main first-aid techniques will be taught.

The course will cover basic CPR, dressing injuries and splinting fractures, responses to hypothermia and related topics.

It will also cover how to respond to acute illness.

The course will place particular emphasis on how to manage in fieldwork situations where help may take a long time to arrive, and what can be done while waiting for assistance.
